Talk2Camera

Terms of use

Short, and written to be read. The parts that cost you money are near the top.

One recording, one file. The camera changes at the marker; the take does not.

Terms of use

Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you and the provider of Talk2Camera. They apply when you use the apps or this website.

Apple is not a party to this agreement. If you obtained the app from the App Store, Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it, and Apple is not responsible for the app or for any claim relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

What you may do with the app

You are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use Talk2Camera on devices you own or control, for as long as you follow these terms. Videos you make with it are yours; we claim no rights over them.

What is free, and what is not

Recording, mid-take camera switching, the teleprompter, trimming, captions and platform export are free and do not expire. Paid tiers add higher capture formats, AI features and cloud sync.

Prices are shown before you buy, in your own currency, on the pricing page and inside the app.

Subscriptions and renewal

Paid tiers are auto-renewing subscriptions. A subscription renews at the end of each period at the price shown when you bought it, unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.

Where you cancel depends on where you bought it. A subscription bought in the App Store is cancelled in your Apple subscription settings; one bought in Google Play, in your Google Play subscription settings; one bought on this website, from the account area here.

Deleting your Talk2Camera account does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple or Google. Only they can stop that charge.

Refunds

Purchases made in the App Store or Google Play are refunded by Apple or Google under their own policies; we cannot issue those refunds.

For subscriptions bought on this website, UK and EU consumers have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days. Because access begins immediately, you consent to that when you subscribe, and a refund may be reduced in proportion to what you have used.

Using it responsibly

Do not use Talk2Camera to record people who have not agreed to be recorded where the law requires their agreement, to produce material that is unlawful, or to attempt to break, overload or reverse engineer the service.

AI features have a daily allowance by tier. Automating them to exhaust that allowance, or reselling access to them, is not permitted.

Your content

Your scripts and recordings remain yours. If you turn on cloud sync, you grant us only the permission needed to store and transmit that content back to you and your devices — nothing more, and nothing that lets us use it for any other purpose.

What we do not promise

Subject to the statutory rights below, which we do not exclude: we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, that a particular device will support every capture format, or that a recording will never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

If you are a consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires us to supply this service with reasonable care and skill, and to supply digital content that is of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any of that, and any wording that appeared to would not apply. If we fall short, you are entitled to a repeat performance or a price reduction.

Some features depend on hardware. Where a device cannot do something, the app says so rather than pretending otherwise.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Beyond that, our liability arising from your use of Talk2Camera is limited to the greater of one hundred pounds or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. The floor is there deliberately: a cap set at what you paid would be no cap at all for someone using the free tier, and a limit that reduces to nothing is not a fair term.

We do not limit liability for a failure to supply the service with reasonable care and skill, and we do not exclude your right to a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Ending it

You may stop using Talk2Camera at any time and delete your account from within either app or from this website.

We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken in a way that harms other people or the service, and will say why unless the law prevents it.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protections of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
