Why a fixed scroll speed sounds like reading
Everyone can spot a read, and what gives it away is rarely the eyes — it is the rhythm. Real speech is uneven: you slow down for the thing that matters, speed up through the part everyone knows, and stop entirely when you change subject. A script scrolling at a constant speed removes all of that, and the delivery sounds recited even when everything else is right.
Voice follow moves the text at the speed you are actually speaking. Pause for as long as you like and it waits. Skip a sentence and it catches up. Recognition runs on the device, so nothing you say is uploaded to make it work.
The result is that you can slow down deliberately — which is the single most useful thing a presenter can do — without falling behind the words.
